4 Days Biking in the Mekong Delta

Day 1

An Hoa Bridge – Tam Hiep Island – Ut Trinh Homestay

After a 2-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City, we'll reach Ben Tre province. Our first stop is a local workshop where we'll witness the traditional process of making sticky-rice cakes. Then, we'll hop on a boat to visit a local factory and see how coconut hard-shell is used to produce activated charcoal, with many kilns in operation.

We'll then cross the Mekong River, passing through the Cua Dai and Cua Tieu regions, about 30 km from the Eastern Sea, until we arrive at Tam Hiep Island. Here, we'll check into Ut Trinh homestay.

Next, we'll embark on a biking excursion to a special farm where creepers, known as LÁ SÂM, are cultivated. We'll have the opportunity to pick some leaves and taste the special herbal jelly made from them.

Continuing our bike ride, we'll traverse small village paths lined with vast orchards until we reach a local family's home, where we'll indulge in various fruits and honey tea.

We'll then board a rowing boat to explore the tranquil countryside along smaller canals, immersing ourselves in the peaceful surroundings.

Returning to the homestay, we'll freshen up with a quick shower before heading to the kitchen to cook dinner alongside our lovely hosts.

Finally, we'll enjoy a delicious dinner together, sharing stories and laughter with our gracious hosts.

Day 2

Homestay – Tam Hiep Island – Long Dinh

Breakfast will be at the homestay.

We'll start the day with a biking trip beneath the expansive orchards on Tam Hiep Island. Along the way, we'll visit the local market to experience the vibrant atmosphere and perhaps pick up some souvenirs. Then, we'll stop by a bee farm to learn about the fascinating world of beekeeping and taste some fresh honey.

If time allows, we can also make a visit to a local pagoda to immerse ourselves in the serene ambiance and learn about the Buddhist culture.

Afterwards, we'll return to our homestay to check out and bid farewell to our gracious hosts, expressing our gratitude for their hospitality.

Finally, we'll head back to our bus, bringing an end to our memorable journey through the tranquil countryside of Ben Tre province.

Transfer to Can Tho. Arrive in Can Tho City in the late afternoon and check into your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day free at your leisure

Day 3

Breakfast will be at the hotel.

At either 8:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m., our local tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the meeting point where we'll collect our bikes.

We'll embark on a cycling adventure covering approximately 7-10 km through local villages. Along the way, we'll traverse quaint countryside roads and witness various activities of the locals.

Our first stop will be at one of the largest organic cacao farms in the region. Here, you'll have the opportunity to learn about the process of manually making chocolate and indulge in a delightful cup of chocolate drink. Bid farewell to Mr. Cacao and continue our journey.

Next, we'll hop on a ferry to cross the river and reach "Giàn Gừa," a hidden gem in Can Tho boasting a majestic view. We'll navigate through a beautiful network of small, narrow paths enveloped by lush greenery before arriving at "Giàn Gừa." Take in the peaceful ambiance and capture some memorable photos.

After soaking up the serene atmosphere, we'll conclude the tour and return to the meeting point, marking the end of our adventure.

Depart from Can Tho around noon and arriving in Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon. Tour ends.
