Day 1

Arrive at Ho Chi Minh City / Tan Son Nhat International Airport by flight ... (Please kindly advise us of the arrival flight). Pick up at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City for check in (Check–in time is 14:00 hrs; early check–in is at surcharge). Resst of the day is at leisure.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel.

In the morning, the city tour begins at the War Remnants Museum, a really famous spot in Saigon. Here, you can learn about how the Vietnamese fought for their freedom and peace during the Vietnam War. The museum shows weapons, documents, and photos that prove what happened during the war and how brave the Vietnamese people were. Next, we'll head to the Reunification Palace, which saw the end of the tough Vietnam War in 1975. Now, it's a museum and a place where important meetings happen. Nearby, you'll see the Notre Dame Cathedral (just from the outside) and the Central Post Office, both well-known places in the city.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

We'll head to Chinatown, the largest Chinese community in Vietnam. Our stops include the Thien Hau Temple, showcasing beautiful traditional Chinese architecture, and the iconic Binh Tay Market, known for its maze of food stalls and impressive Sino-French buildings. You'll get a glimpse into the daily lives of the fruit and vegetable sellers here, and we'll pause for a glass of traditional Café Saigon (Vietnamese iced coffee) while sampling some unique Vietnamese fruits.

Late afternoon, we'll visit the lively Ben Thanh Market in District 1. Enjoying shopping time there. To wrap up the day, we'll visit the Bitexco Tower's observation skydeck, offering a fantastic view of Saigon city from one of its highest points.

Transfer back to the hotel.

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel.

We'll drive to Tay Ninh to visit the intricate Cao Dai temple and witness the impressive mid-day ceremony. During this event, followers dress in colorful robes, representing the unique blend of Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism in their beliefs.

Afterwards, we'll head to the Cu Chi tunnels. These tunnels were a Vietcong base during the American war, a massive network that stretched over 200 kilometers. They had trapdoors, living spaces, storage areas, factories for weapons, hospitals, command centers, and kitchens. You'll watch a short video showing how the tunnels were built. There are also displays of traps and the remains of an American tank, plus many craters made by big bombs. Then, we'll spend about an hour exploring the maze of tunnels to see firsthand how the Vietcong lived underground. We'll end the tour by dropping you back at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City in late afternoon.

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel.

Then, pick up at your hotel and transfer to Cai Be.

The program will start with a quick visit of Cai Be town & the ancient church from the boat. Then, we’ll come to Tân Phong island for the rowing boat. They will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals to enjoy the peaceful time under the shade of mangrove trees. Stop at local garden to enjoy some fruits with hot tea when listening to the traditional music. 

Then, start the biking trip on village paths to see the local daily life: orchard, school, church, pagoda, traditional houses... On the way, we can make some stops to see how they wave the dried water-hyacinth to make many products: baskets, bags, hats, wallets, shoes... (You can walk, but see less).  

Back to our boat to go across one of the longest rivers in the world, Mekong River, to come to An Bình Island. Lunch can be served on boat or at homestay.

After lunch, check in at homestay. Have biking trip or walking around the local village, stop at local workshop to see how to make rice paper, coconut candy, pop-rice... Enjoy some sweets with a cup of hot tea. 

Have a fresh shower before cooking some special dishes with the members of local family. We’ll enjoy dinner & overnight at homestay.

Day 5

Have a breakfast and check-out for a walk along the village to enjoy the fresh air in the morning Check out and say goodbye to the local family. Boat trip to visit the brick kilns where you can see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay. Our boat will go along the floating village. We will see how to farm catfish on Mekong river.  

 Also, we can visit Vinh Long market in the town. This is the best choice for you to take pictures of fish, shrimps, prawns, crabs, snakes, rice-field rats, tropical fruits, vegetables... The cruise will end at the new boat station in Vinh Long city around 10:00 AM.

Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City. The rest of the day is free time.
