Day 1

Your driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby and take you on a journey along Highway No.6 to Mai Chau, a charming small town surrounded by vibrant green rice fields nestled in a lush valley. Along the way, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of pagodas and rural villages dotting the picturesque landscape. You'll make stops to visit the Muong tribe and admire the stunning vista of Mai Chau Valley from Thung Khe Pass. After a delicious lunch in Mai Chau, you'll spend the afternoon trekking off the beaten path alongside the tranquil Song Ma River. Trekking through terraced rice fields and quaint villages, you'll immerse yourself in the natural splendor of the valley and experience the rich culture of the White Thai people who call this region home. MAI CHAU - SON LA - DIEN BIEN PHU (B/L/–)

Day 2
|
Breakfast will be at the hotel. Let’s stop en route to visit villages of various tribes including the H’mong, Thai, Muong and Dzao and orchard, tea farm in Moc Chau plateau – Vietnam’s premier tea-growing region, before reach Son La (200km from Mai Chau) for a late lunch. In the afternoon, continue along winding mountain roads through North Vietnam’s stunning countryside. The most picturesque scenery here is Pha Din Pass, well-known as a historical site during the 1st Indochina War ended in 1954, and a charming and dangerous pass at elevation 1,300m with breathtaking view. According to local legend, “Pha Din” means the connection between Heaven and Earth. On arrival, check in your hotel and spend rest of day at leisure. Accommodation at your hotel in Dien Bien Phu. |

DIEN BIEN PHU - LAI CHAU - PHONG THO (B/L/–)

Day 3
|
Breakfast will be at the hotel. Nestled in a heart-shaped basin near the Laos border lies Dien Bien Phu, the renowned historical battleground where the Vietnamese triumphantly defeated the French, ending French colonial rule. Begin your day early with a visit to the local market, where you will encounter charming Thai tribes in their traditional costumes buying their farm products. Next, visit the Dien Bien Phu Museum and A1 Hill, followed by a visit to the Dien Bien Phu Cemetery to observe a minute of silence in honor of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the victory in the historical Dien Bien Phu Campaign. Then, explore General De Castries’s Bunker, the Old Muong Thanh Bridge, and the Nam Rom River. After lunch, proceed to Lai Chau along a bumpy road, passing through a series of ethnic villages including Kho Mu (Xa), Huoi Chan, and Bung Giat. Continue to Phong Tho on scenic roads, crossing the junctions of the Da and Na rivers via the Chinese-built Hang Tom suspension bridge. From here, the road winds northwards through the picturesque and increasingly spectacular Na River valley, passing more ethnic villages of the White Thai, Kho Mu, and later the Red and White H’mong minorities. Arrive in Phong Tho and spend the rest of the day cycling around the village. Accommodation at your hotel in Phong Tho. |

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel This morning, depart from Phong Tho for Sapa. The road can be bumpy at times, but the stunning scenery quickly makes up for the rough route: expansive valleys, winding rivers, and towering mountains—a photographer’s paradise. The drive to Sapa takes you up Tram Ton, the highest pass in Vietnam, offering views of Fansipan Peak, known as “the roof of Indochina.” Stop to visit the nearby Silver Waterfall. Upon arrival in Sapa Town, check into your hotel. Nestled in a broad valley near the Chinese border, Sapa is Northwest Vietnam’s top travel destination. Established in 1922 as a French colonial hill station, this charming town is now a trekker’s paradise, featuring hiking trails through terraced rice fields and picturesque hill tribe villages. Breakfast at the hotel. Spend the entire day trekking through Sapa’s stunning countryside. After breakfast at the hotel, embark on your adventure, descending into the Muong Hoa Valley and continuing along one of Vietnam’s most beautiful trekking routes. Walk through pine forests, terraced rice paddies, and traditional Hmong villages. Along the way, visit a village school and after that, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, trek through a Zay village. Your journey concludes at Ta Van Bridge, where your driver will return you to Sapa. Enjoy a free evening at your leisure. Trekking duration: 5 hours downhill.
